The good life
We love living in Scottsdale, city vibes with nature in our backyard. There are beautiful mountains, lots of culture and activities, all the shopping and dining one could want and safe. Central and north Phoenix would be my second choice. Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler and Glendale are also suburban areas some people like.
We also love the PHX area location as we’re equidistant to all of SoCal, Palm Springs, Santa Fe, Vegas, Mexico etc and to cool off is an hour+ drive into the mountains. Plus it’s still an affordable cost of living, taxes etc compared to many other similar sized metro areas.

Totally agree! Scottsdale has so much to offer and is quite beautiful!
We have friends who live there, and the mountain scenery is breathtaking.
Great point about the location! It’s I-10 directly from Phoenix to Palm Springs or LA, and San Diego is an easy trip mainly on I-8. We’ve also driven up to Vegas and over to Santa Fe, all easy interstate routes. It’s an ideal spot.
